This painting was requested by =Nesi, who wanted something visual inspired from his poem, In This Silence. His visual interpretation of this (what he asked of me) is slightly different from the finished product. Unfortunately, since the paint is still extremely wet, I'm having a hard time photographing it without some sort of glare. In a week or so I should be able to capture it much better, and then I'll offer it as a print if you so desire, Nesi.

All of the imagery has specific metophorical meaning, as well as a certain connection to the poem itself. The only real divergence is the dying trees, instead of the decaying roses. For me, this seemed to suit a more interesting visual composition.

As the paint is still drying, I'm sure I'll make changes and refine a lot of the image, so constructive critiques are more than welcome.

UPDATE: Much better digital photo taken... though there still is a bit of glare at the top, it's much more true to life. I'll take a few more in a week or so and see if I can't get a better shot.
