This was a painting I did a while ago, but struggled to photograph well (so much white makes it difficult I guess!)

This is my portrait of a good friend and mentor that passed away recently. I did this painting very quickly in just one day (so it's a daily doodle, too!) because of the time crunch - it had to be completed before his retrospective show, where it hung along with his major works to commemorate the artist's achievements and lifetime of work.

Because Denniss was constantly telling me to try new techniques and mediums, this is also the first time I've tried modeling paste, which was very much fun to work with and I'll try again soon, I think.
