Paradise Lake by mynti Paradise Lake by mynti
Another practice speedpaint, this time 3hours... I felt like I needed more time to really see all the details.

There are still a lot of mistakes and whatnot, but I'm happier with how this one turned out.

I am learning SO MUCH doing these speedpaints, but my hand hurts :paranoid: I have an indent mark where my tablet pen was resting on my fingers...

Based on this photo on stock exchange: [link]

I tried really hard to get the right colors, but they still seem off to me. I need to work more on that!

The four brushes I used are available here: [link]

I custom changed a few of them (scatter, ect) during the painting, but if you would like them, there they are :D

I thought this was a photo before I clicked on it. I read the description first and was like "PAINT?" and enlarged it.

You're intense :P

HEY THAT IS GREAT.
I JUST GOT ONE OF THOSE TABLETS AND I AM PLAYING AROUND WITH IT. LOTS OF FUN.

FOR YOUR COLORS. IF YOU ARE DOING WATER ONE TRICK IS ALL THE COLORS ABOVE ARE ALWAYS IN THE WATER. YOU CAN PLAY AROUND WITH MORE OR LESS BUT THEY ARE ALWAYS THERE. THERE IS A SLIGHT ABSENCE OF BLUE THAT IS ALL. IT IS STILL REALLY NICE. MAYBE I CAN GET SOME POINTERS ON USING MY NEW TABLET. RIGHT NOW I AM PLAYING WITH JUST DRAWING WITH LIGHT ON A BLACK SCREEN. IT IS A BLAST. NO MESS NO SMELL NO SETUP NO CLEANUP NO PAPER NO CANVASS. WELL I STILL LOVE PAINTING WITH OIL BUT THIS IS REALLY FUN.
LOVE YOU OMM CONTRIBUTION
I LOVE SCUBADIVING SO...
ANYWAY
PEACE OUT JOE

i think it's beautiful honey :aww: yes these speed paintings really are paying off. I think you need more brightness in the picture. It reminds me of an oil painting

I normally try to point out the flaws in speedpainting, but this is one of the few times where I wish I could do it that good in that time. Being a scenery artist, that skill would be useful to Me.
Good job, It almost looks like a painting done in traditional media.

This is very realistic for just 3 hours. The depth of the clouds is great, and the reflections on the lake a pretty.

If you spent more time on it and put some details into the lake, I'm sure it would liven it up a bit. But of course... it is a speedpaint. :giggle::heart:

Very pretty. :aww:

Yes, the problem with painting in so short a time is you must focus on certain details and unfortunately let others go :) I'm trying to get faster, this is the best way for me to do it.. to do lots of speedpaints :giggle:
