WOW... that looks amazing as always! I love this. The colors and it looks just like the stock photo. Im thinking this is a for me. Keep up the fabulous work hun!
stunning! your shadows and lighting are great, and i think work so well with this piece, especially by the water and how you got it to reflect.
looking at the reference photo i think you did such a fantastic job of capturing the details that lie within the grass and bushes, as well as the bricks & stairway! when i view the stock and then your piece they look almost identical to me, and that's amazing. though i really love your water (the colours are great and there is some really great depth added with the rocks and white movement), i think that you didn't really capture the fierceness that the water in the stock photograph shows. to me there should a bit more splashing perhaps, and maybe more body to the water where it falls.
otherwise hun, this is great. another speed-turned-thought-out painting, and i think you're getting better and better with each one. keep up those challenges, i look forward to seeing =memod's.
daaaaang gracie! I love this peice. it's really... really deep! I love the shadows... and the highlights on the rocks... the gentle flow of water... just classic.

really well painted but my only crit is the wall on the left which supports the stairs.
Because you've painted them on a slight downward slope its knocked your perspective off. If you look at the stock you'll notice the 'bricks' are horizontal, the perspective is maintained by fore-shortening rather than the one point.

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 10 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
When it comes to community spirit, `Rushy is a shining example. From participating in devmeets, to providing positive encouragement to other artists, `Rushy can always be found demonstrating what it really takes to be a true deviant. It's without any hesitation that we are delighted to award the Deviousness Award for July 2009 to `RushyRead More
