Streubel Stream

Whenever I go on walks with my mom, it's like the whole world breathes in, and out, and comes alive. This is my attempt to get that feeling across.

Here I depict my mom on a fantasy version of a trail we frequent. There's swans, which represent family here, and also a sense of beauty or freedom. And there's the monster in the woods, if you dare to look for him and find him. 

Digital Painting - 3 years in the making (over 80 hours) - Still using my trusty (crusty) old Wacom Intuos 3 6x8" tablet for all my digital doodling desires.
